need an URGENT help of a DOCTOR

The PG Dr is already GONE..... to London.

Actually, in both cases (PG or RTIICS) nothing can be done before 'puja vacation' so PG is saying that - we take her back and contact them after puja in the out-door and then they will give the Date.

RTIICS is also like that, the main heart-surgent is not available before puja.
and if we still admit her then we have to pay 950/- per day (seperate from the package). Hope you understand the situation for a middle-class family.

My Mother is just fine, 100%. No pain..... nothing.

Also, she has become a temp nurse there, doing things like -

0 Going to call real nurse if a patient needs help.
0 Going to bathroom herself.
0 Sitting, standing, small walking etc.
............ just as normal.
so, Is it safe to keep her at home for just a week or max 10 days, very carefully and under proper medication with ZERO WORK ?

Hmmm...
Kolkata- Puja is big thing but still docs on leave don't go down well with me!!
Docs come running even from their honeymoon- some due to dedication and some due to money!!:p

And its great news- just as normal- I pray to all Gods that she is absolutely Fine and stays hale and hearty forever!!:)
BUt this period is tricky- like medpal said and he knows- he is a good doc!!
I sincerely pray/wish/think she is 100% fine but at times it is the medicines or just a placebo effect even if some prob exists!!

But till all investigations are not done and she isnt declared 100% fit by a good doc- all those activities u mentioned are a strict no-no!!

No being good samaritan for some time- i know how ppl in Kolkata feels its their duty to help others!!

No going alone to loo/bathroom- better accompanied by someone from family till outside, just in case she feels weak or dizzy!!
Also better use commode in loo and stool to sit while bathing as squatting in Indian loo and standing for long while bathing can be stressful!!:(

No sitting too upright, standing for no more than few secs, no stairs, no household activities like cooking/cleaning/..., no yelling at kids or calling out loudly like most Kolkata Bongs are used to:ashamed: ,...

Food and medication as per strict schedule at hospital!!

I hope u got the basic idea- she still needs to be very careful and under some supervision 24x7 till u get those tests done!!:cool2:

i hope you take this in the right spirit!!:cool2:

UPDATE
Sorry, I was too busy, hope you understand.

Mother is back home from PG Hospital with lots of Medicines.

As I have already told you that she needs BYPASS.
She came back home just like 'PUJA VACATION'. After 5th Oct, we will take her to RTIICS for the BYPASS if they suggest it too.

Here is the ANGIOGRAPHY Images -
(I have the Report but don't have a scanner and hand-writting is  )

How much % is the blockages and where are they? My dad has had 2 angiplasties and still wasnt perfect, he lost 12kgs and now he is better...did she have diabetes+bp ?

You have my support, i went thru the same with my dad last dec. when he had a heart attack in udaipur and i was in bbay.... :(

@iosoft :

eventhough interpreting angiography is not my field.

secondly angiography is an real time investigation : i mean it has to be a running video rather that still images which is more important.

so what i conclude is that yes your mother does require a bypass surgery. but my opinion can not be considered final and what her consultants have told is final.

if you do not have scanner than if you have digital camera, you can take a high resolution snapshot and can upload here.

maa durga will take care of you mom, so do not worry and be happy. everything will be alright.

wish you a happy durga puja.

a small good news

Today we got the CT-Angio report. Then went to Dr. Kunal Sarkar, RTIICS.

In gist : though there is a 100% Block, he thinks, we don't have to go for the BYPASS right now. Instate, 2 months of medication, then a TMT test and after that future plan....

This good news is the result of pray of every TE members and friends.

thats really a good news for your family.
a puja and diwali gift.

now make sure your mom stays at comfort both physically and mentally.

follow the advise of the cardiologist strictly.

if advised by doctor start little exercising (slow walk and light exercises) so that it will help dissolving the cholesterole granules.

wish you best luck for your moms health again.

2 months over.
Now, my mother have to go through TMT test, and then further decision....

actually, we thought we will get a date on Tuesday (tomorrow), but again another BANDH. We will try on Wednesday or next.... but within this week.

Its just amazing reading this thread. So many people are out there to help you when you need them with whatever they can, be it moral support, financial help, medical advice, etc. Just what a forum should be and maybe more...

All the best of wishes to your mom.

Yes, I generally avoid the term 'greatest' to award anything, rather prefer the word 'great'.

But, I just don't have any other words other than 'greatest' to award TechEnclave and their members.
