Need battery + inverter suggestion for 500W PC + 3-5 fans

Hi all,
I’m a freelancer and my work completely depends on my desktop PC, which draws under 500W. Unfortunately, my area faces frequent blackouts usually 15–30 mins multiple times a day, and sometimes 3–5 hour outages once or twice a week.

Aside from my PC, I’ll also need backup for:

  • 3 to 5 ceiling fans
  • 3 to 4 LED bulbs (~9W each)

I’m planning to go for something more than 150AH, but not more than 240AH as that starts getting too expensive. My main priority is reliability — I don’t want my system going down while I’m working, especially during long outages.

My questions:

  1. What AH rating would be ideal for this use case (PC + fans + lights)?
  2. What should I keep in mind when choosing a battery and inverter tubular vs flat plate, sine wave vs square wave, etc.?
  3. Any particular brands or models you'd recommend within a ₹25K–30K budget?

Appreciate any insights thanks in advance!

  1. 150Ah is good enough for most
  2. Pure sine wave inverter, not sure of battery type, someone else might be able to enlighten
  3. Exide STAR 1625VA inverter. This is the highest power output single battery inverter. Most others require 2x batteries as minimum, so keep that in mind. Avoid 2000+VA Luminous inverter as its switch over time was slightly longer, friend got it locally, had issues with switchover for his TV, shopkeeper replaced with some Exide 2000+VA model later on.
