Need controller wired/wireless for pcs

Guys I have always used MNk for playing games on my pc and will mostly be playing fps games like apex legends . I will play on pc and this is the first time I will be buying controller . Please suggest a good controller which can be connected to pc both via wired and wireless . I know controller can be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth but is that recommended for fast paced fps games that I don’t know . Please help

there are many controllers in the market but i think the over all best pick would be the xbox series x controller which can be used wired or wirelessly.
