There are magnetic sensors, motion sensors, gas leak detectors, sirens, sms/call based alerts and a main panel which controls them.
 
that cost includes installation ? and can this kit be installed in existing homes without damage/modification to property?

yes that includes the cost of installation. the system is completely wireless so only the main unit need wire for electricity.

any wire cut will raise alarm. come on ...companies will keep this in mind, in fact this is the first thing which comes to mind to override the system.
 
Does it have some sort of self-test to check everything is working ok.

THing with a system like this is regular maintenance, how does that work out ?

Since its Wireless, it must be prone to Radio frequency (RF) interference. In my house whenever Microwave Oven is being used, it becomes next to impossible to browser via home's wifi network.

any wired option available?

Did you try changing the router channel ? sometime that helps. Or is it your router is just above the oven ? that may be issue.. but my netgear works fine with samsung microwave which i'm surfing :P

i never had any problem. I'm having 2 cordless phones wifi plus wifi router, never had any problem. now installed this wireless security system..no interference.

yes they do have wired options also.

yes it will need regular maintenance just like other systems.
 
dudes one of friends home got burgled and the thief cut the glass window leta kid in and got the door opened hehe so just securing the door wont help just my 2 cents
