Hi Friends,

It's my first post here, and I am sure I am at the right place to get an expert advice.

Now, here's my question. I am looking for a good GPU Cooler for my MSI 8800 GT 512MB. With stock cooler, the temps goese as high as 80-85 deg Cel. and not to mention sounds like four 8 wheeler truck.

I researched on the net and came with few good GPU coolers for my card. Chk this out:

8800 GT GPU Cooler Review

These are the cards, which I think wud be good:

-Thermal Light HR-03-GT (i think, wud be too expensive)

-Zalman VF-1000 LED (definetly an option)

-Akasa Vortexx Ne0 (great looks!!)

-Duorb CL-Go 1202 (not sure, how will it perform)

-Arctic Accelero S1 (cheap, and gud performace)

Now, out of all these, which one do you guys think wud be gud choice for 8800GT 512MB?

And, also from where can I get them in Delhi? Any contact info wud be gr8. My budget is 3K-4K.

accelero s1 rev2 is the best GPU cooler (air-cooling) in the world.

Pros:

Performance

Size/Area of heatsink (Can fit 2 x 120mm fans although u dont need more than 1)

Price

Compatibilty

Very Silent (Passive cooling or 1x120mm fan)

Cons:

Size (Consumes 3 slots instead of 2 when a fan is added to it)

umm if u gonna put a cooler than also same time u would need to know if u ever gonna go SLI ...

ok 8800 is old but same time most of the coolers u mentioned wont let you go SLI

Vortexxx neo and Trad are two which would let you do SLI

Vortexxx u would get 2 in 4.2K i think....... trad are best but lot costlier....

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for all your inputs.

Looking at comment from all of you and doing a little bit of research, I am now actually thinking of getting an Nvidia 260GTX 896 MB card.

I was first thinking of an SLI setup, but then I thought about the heat it will generate, and not to mention problem getting proper GPU cooler for 8800Gt's which will allow an SLI setup.

Thinking all that, I think it's better off getting a single 260GTX than 8800GT SLi Setup?

What do you guys think? Should I go for one 206GTX or 8800GT SLI setup.

as i said neo n trad support SLI configs

however anyday a newer chipset is better

so not a fair comparsion between 260 216 vs 8800sli
