Storage Solutions Need help fixing my Micro SD card

i have a 8GB Stontium Micro SD Card.
i tried to format it in Windows 7.. But its giving me a write-protected error.
The Card Adapter is in UNLOCK mode..
Still it is giving Write Protected Error…
I have tried abt 4-5 formatting tools.. nothing is working.
i have WINDOWS 7…
the card is in RAW fornat currently....

PLS HELP..

^^ How old is the card and where did you get it from, if possible RMA it or have it exchanged from where you acquired it.

^^ encountered a similar case few weeks back, the reason was faulty memory card

That's unrepairable,and never put sensitive data on those cards and rely on them.Even if you put your data,just get it backed up regularly as you never know when it's gonna give up.

if not, than use card reader to format it or use mobile to format it & always use Quick Format.

I have an iball pen drive (ebay gift one), that too is faulty. First it size diminished from 2GB to 800 MB (don't ask how) and now it refuses to get formatted with the write protect error.

Try formatting it using a digicam, somewhere i read that, it can be formatted using a digicam, give it a shot
