Graphic Cards Need Help for upgrading GPU

Hello Friends,

I am currently having AMD 6950 2GB card with me and was thinking of upgrading to 7870 2gb, how much performance gain will be there?
Also I was thinking of Upgrading my CPU from Phenom 1090T to FX-8350, but I am tight on budget and can either upgrade the GPU or the CPU.

I am getting 10k for my 6950 2gb, should I add more 9k and get 7870 2gb or Buy AMD FX-8350 and keep 6950 2GB?

I had considered buying 7850 but don't think it will give much gain over 6950, So basically I want to know if (Phenom II 1090T with 7870 2GB) > (FX-8350 with 6950 2GB) ?
Which combo would increase Overall performance and/or Gaming performance ?
I am having Sabertooth 990FX Mobo, and 4x2gb HyperX ram and Samsung 120Hz monitor.


Please suggest.
 
Wait for Oland (AMD HD8*** series) to release in Q1 -->Q2 2013.

No point going from a HD6950 2GB to a HD7870 2GB. Minimum upgrade would be the HD7950 3GB OR above.
 
Thankyou guys for the feedback, I think i will w8 for another Year before upgrading MY GPU, Till then I will try to Unlock and OC the current GPU.
Also I want to know if I will get any Performance Gain by upgrading from AMD Phenom 1090T to FX-8350 ?

Since I am not upgrading my GPU should I consider Upgrading my CPU?

No point, Vishera is just a little more powerful than Thuban's were but with better efficiency stats to show for it.

Here is a head-to-head between the two -- AnandTech - Bench - CPU.
 
have u tried unlocking 6950 to 6970 bios mod (basically shaders) that would be an upgrade without spending a dime
