Need help in building new Work/Gaming PC

BloodCold

Recruit
Hi,

I want to build a new CPU as my old one is old...

I will be using my machine for programming, MMO games like world of warcraft, Guild Wars(Not much into games that require much power like crysis etc.) and watching movies.

I have some spare components which i would like to use in my new build to keep its cost down.

I have:
  • Monitor- Samsung 22 inch LCD Monitor
  • Graphics Card- MSI Geforce 9800 GT 1 GB
  • UPS- APC 600 VA
  • Speakers: creative speakers

I want suggestions for the rest:
  • CPU: I have already decided i5 2400 as i won't be overclocking and don't see much difference in power between i5 2400 and i5 2500/i5 2500k.
  • Motherboard: This is where i am confused a lot
  • RAM: Any 4GBX2 DDR3 RAM CL9 would suffice i guess, if not please say.
  • Case:
  • PS:
  • HDD:
  • Keyboard-Mouse: Logitech MK200
  • DVD Writer: ASUS 24X Sata Black DVD

My budget to spend is around 35k. Please suggest

thanks a lot

^^ #BloodCold, this is what I would suggest --

Intel Core i5 2400 ~10900/-

Intel DH67-BL ~5800/- [a good board from Intel which packs in a good feature set + a decent component layout, also only motherboard sub ~6000/- that has four RAM DIMM's]

G.Skill RIPJAWS 4GB x 2 1600MHz RAM ~3400/-

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB ~4000/- [hard drive prices are high due to floods in Thailand]

LG / Samsung OEM DVD drive ~1000/-

NZXT Gamma ~2600/-

Seasonic S12II 520W ~3500/-

Logitech K200 Keyboard + mouse combo ~700/-

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

.

One plus point is price and 4 RAM DIMM

Also this being m-ATX board, can i add another DVD or HDD later on?

RAM - (G-skill RIPJAWS 4GBx2 1600MHz RAM) Do i have to keep in mind the CL and other nitty details when buying from vendor?

HDD -

SMPS - Want something which can sustain new graphics card i will buy after some time.

Cabinet -

DVD - (LG / Samsung OEM DVD drive)

Mouse/Keyboard - (Logitech K200 Keyboard + mouse combo)

Also about SSD, how much useful is it apart from system booting fast and such things? if later on i want to use SSD will motherboard allow it?

Also do i need it or not as per my intended use of this system?

Q: Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component

Yes, will upgrade the following within 6 months

GPU - i will get either the new cards which will be coming soon or ATI 6870 or GeForce 560 Ti
