Hey guys.. I'm looking forward to buy a new tv.. Preferably 32'' LED TV.. And my budget is under 35k.. I don't need internet features in my tv.. Just need a 32'' led tv which is having usb support .. Just plug-in your pendrive and play your hd movies and see your photos..! And is there any possibility that i can connect my pc(not laptop) to it.. Like using my tv as a monitor..!
Please suggest some options.. It'd be greatly appreciated...!
Thanks!

panasonic's E6 series has been getting very good reviews, and being said to be the best LED TV from panasonic yet! check its review on hdtvtest. the 32" variant should be available just in your budget locally. however, the TV isnt 3D-capable.

Dude.. Its not available in india..! And i don't need smart tv..!
How about this one?-

its a sony r42

its not available online, but well-available at local stores. not sure about 32" variants, but higher screen-sizes are available, for anything between 52-59k at various places. sourcing a 32" variant should be possible if you talk to panasonic-personnel. just ignore its smart features if its falling under your budget. don't set not having smart features as a parameter for selection, albeit aim for PQ. if you are getting a good PQ in your budget, ignore its smart features. competition to this model is tough. another choice would be sony's W850, its not released yet in india, but going to be released soon.

apart from tv if you want your pendrive or portable hdds for HD movies I will suggest to go for samsung leds... a friend who bought sony had hard time playing mkv hd movies with dts..

I had this 3 year old sammy lcd which even recognises seagate 2tb externally powered portable drive... watching hd movies on it is great pleasure... 50% of my tv uses are via USB...

another model from panasonic is the B6D, devoid of any smart features, but the E6 has a much better PQ. also, as vagabond pointed out, samsung TVs are said to have the most extensive playback-options through USB port. i dont know about panasonic LED-LCDs.

one samsung no-frills model that you can consider is UE32F5000. it has got a brilliant review over at HDTVtest. F5500 is also a variant of it. only thing is that this model is said to be unjustifiably (high) priced in india (42" model for ~56k, so 32" should be near your budget-limit). still, check once locally. and one important thing is, whatever suggestions you get on the forums, your ultimate judge should be your EYES! so, make sure to demo each model that you are being recommended, and go alongwith a pen-drive with HD rips in it to the showrooms.

I don't want to connect hdds to my tv.. Just pendrive and if possible, as a monitor for pc..!
Dude, if TV is supporting HDD and fall in your budget, will you reject it?
Pen drive is also small form factor of HDD.

Your requirement of connect "just pendrive and as monitor" can be fulfilled by any modern TV. What people are saying here is that which vendor/model supports files which you want to play on TV. Sammy and LG are so far supporting max media files. Check this LG model 32LS4600.

Well, unfortunately for you, if it is taking a pen drive it will also take in the hard drive.

It would be better if you do more research about the basic features that you are looking for. This will help you relate to the recommendations by the people over here.

as i had written earlier, focus on getting a better PQ-delivering TV in your budget, then will come USB-playback capability at a close second, followed by presence/non-presence of smart-features. if you get to demo a TV w/smart-features within your budget, that has a better PQ at factory-settings, than one which delivers inferior PQ w/o smart-features, opt for the former. then there are some exceptional ones, which provide good PQ without any smart-features, plus provide extensive USB-playback options. the Samsung model i wrote of above comes quite close to the PQ of the Panasonic E6, and has extensive formats-support, plus NO smart-features; so try to audition that model.

Model you suggested is HD ready, whereas sammy and LG model provided by @Kilroyquasar and me are Full HD within your budget and play more file formats than Sony.
It also not showing audio/video file formats supported.

As suggested by @vantheman5211, first make up your mind what are you looking for. One side you are saying that you will be connecting pen drive then what? play movies, view photos or listen songs etc. If playing movies is not your priority then pick any brand below 25k why to spend 30-35k.

If you are biased towards Sony, simply go ahead.

I'm not biased towards any brand.. It just that i saw 3 LED TVs side by side of sony, samsung and lg in a electronic marketplace! And sony's r42 was having better clarity than the other two..! I don't know about video formats as the salesman told me that sony's r42 will support max. video formats

Sony TV shows better picture clarity because they are tuned for that. If you wanted to see the real thing tell them to reset the setting to default then compare the difference. Also if that model is available in showroom try to plug your pen drive and play the most format you want to play, if salesman allows.

the first rule of importance when visiting showrooms - listen to the salesmen courteously, but avoid paying heed to their parrot-utterances of phoney knowledge, like plague!!

Look for Samsung UE32F5000, & LG 32LS4600/LS3700, at croma and reliance outlets at your place. both the brands offer great choices for your budget.

P.S. - Just so that it may help you arrive closer to a selection, conclusion of HDTVtest [perhaps the best TV-reviewing online-portal, that delves the most into (fine) details] on Samsung UE32F5000 {couldn't find similar reviews for the LG TVs, hence sharing info only about the Samsung model, but the above LG models offering IPS panels, they should be very good too}:

The Samsung UE32F5000 is a brilliant little HDTV, delivering deep blacks, accurate pictures, good screen uniformity and solid standard-def processing. Compared to last year’s EH5000, its chassis is slimmer; colours are more accurate; and motion resolution is slightly higher with [LED Clear Motion] engaged. And compared to the step-up F5500 we recently tested, the 32in F5000′s colours are more well-saturated; viewing angles are wider; and black level is marginally darker.

We’re not sure how much of these improvements is down to the superb SPVA LCD panel used, but if you can find a set blessed with such a panel, there won’t be a better TV in this size, at this price.
