71-90K Need help making a custom rig

hey guys,first of all i need to keep the costs as low as possible,budget is 80k but if it will be lesser than that then its a great boon.
below are my required specs but I may replace any part which you guys think is not suitable or compatible for my build


  • Budget-80k ish
    ​
  • Cpu-probably i5 or i7(if cost effective instead of i5 7500 or 7600 kaby lake ones)
    ​
  • Motherboard-asus probably but not sure which one exactly for my gpu
    ​
  • Gpu-probably a NVidia 1060 or 1070(confuse about brand but need minimum 6gb)
    ​
  • Ram-16gb single stick I guess(brand not sure too)
    ​
  • Monitor-currently 1080p one but will upgrade to 4k soon
    ​
  • Psu-not sure how many wattage required nor a brand
    ​
  • Cabinet-will be a full atx so space shouldn't be a problem I think
    ​

I will be sourcing parts from both online and local stores so that is flexible.
And I need a motherboard which supports two way sli so I can add another gpu in the near future,4 ram ports too for further expansion.

I will be using this for ultra settings wala gaming(gpu intensive game and rendering)
games like-battlefield 1(high or ultra settings),most latest total war series,ghost recon wildlands,you get where I'm going with this

oh yes I will not overclock so that option is out the window...
windows 7 for me cause I get more flexibility using rendering apps and all

Hope I did all of the above in correct format and not look dumb while doing it.:D

Since you mention rendering and video editing, I strongly suggest you to go for amd ryzen 5 1600 or 7 1700.
And as mentioned by Jc36, create a proper format thread in pc buying advice, so we can get additional info of your current build and what are your requirements clear.

I would like to remove some of your confusion :
1)You have to forget win7 if you go for kaby lake proccy since they are locked to work with Windows 10(Nice play microsoft!!)
2) YOU CANNOT SLI Gtx 1060(Sorry for stupid caps)
3)If you really want to take slider to ultra, you have to opt for gtx 1070.
4) You cannot bet on gtx 1070 for 4k.
You need more powerful gpu for that.(maybe Gtx 1080ti) ~ based on games you play.
5)Unless you are doing crazy overclocking, you should be fine with a 550w psu.(Go for reputed brands!!).
6)Unless you are doing some really furious work, 16gb ram is more than sufficient.
I don't get your point in buying single 16gb stick.

Do you need the whole setup or just the core components? Also, what sort of usage are we looking into? Just gaming or partly gaming & partly productivity application?

no prob... 1080 is too much for me...i will try 1070 and pray for the best
i need 16gb because i may use another 16gb stick and expand the ram to 32 gb

anyways thanks a lot for the info..i would have been stuck with the sli thing..
do sky lake ones support win 7???

i need the whole setup bro...i want to keep my old rig so that i can keep it in my other room for quick work instead of going down at mid-night

are his gpu good and durable?
i was thinking of going with asus ,evga or gigabyte

i5 7500 is a bad choice since for 2-3k more you get R5 1600 which beats the 7500 handsomely.

I5 7500 is a locked processor. Would agree with you it it was a 7600k. Ryzen can clock 3.8ghz OC in stock cooler and will definitely match the performance of 7500 if not beat it.

He also mentioned of doing rendering work, ryzen's extra cores help with that.

What applications will you be using? OpenCL VS CUDA pick your poison.
bssunilreddy's amd build is good. Also go with a single gpu it will make your life a lot easier. If you are going for single gpu setup you can cutdown on your psu a bit and go with coolermaster masterwatt lite 600w.

I use corona and maya(still learning) and sometimes vray when I need to..
Open cl is easy,cuda is well a bit tough to master

Which is better Ryzen or i5 7500
Btw do I need a aftermarket cooler or stock ones will do the trick?
I'm thinking the same thing,to go with bssunilreddy's build but replace some parts with manjeets build
