need help on Programming & 24hr download rig for around 17k

Need to buy a rig for programming, 24*7 downloading and Movies :cool2:

I dont think that is possible with a 17k budget mate :( You know it as well as I do.

Things you can do to shave costs,

-Get a 17" instead of a 19" (You can't see sh!t if its a 19")

-Get 2GB of RAM instead of 4GB of ram- I dont see the need of 4GB of RAM for programming.

-Instead of an X3 440 get an X2 250/240 - You will run a cleaner rig with a dual core, IMO.

-Get the ODD only if you absolutely can't make do without it.

Here's what you can't do to shave costs,

-At all costs DONT downgrade the PSU further, else you'll have a lot of bulgy caps on your mobo.

ya i was sure the budget wont be sufficient...... how about you remove keyboard & mouse and monitor .... and give me a config for 17k for just the cpu......

thanks for the replies but dont need speakers either already have them.............. i basically need just the cpu....... nothing else.....
