@clown_abhi: yes i was getting about 30 FPS with Crysis (SP Demo) on XP and its down to about half that on Vista x64 Ultimate

but i've read that Far Cry 2 is allegedly faster on Vista... you might want to look that claim up...

Are you sure Crysis has released a 64bit version of their game?

no it (the SP demo) is 32 bit... "x64" OSes can run 32 bit apps of course

but perhaps that is the cause of the slowdown, who knows... running a 32 bit game on Vista x64....
