Wave is a good machine in all respects and I do not see any reason why you shouldnt go for it.
Agreed that it is a new machine and agreed that Bajaj had a track record of poor four strokers, but I guess it is history now. After the Legend which was a major bomb, Bajaj did not face any setbacks (atleast on the Engine front). And all the DTS-i engines seem to be pretty bullet proof.
Discover DTS-i has been rated the best bike in india, nothing needs to be Said about the Pulsar DTS-i twins. CT-100 is making a killing of Hero Honda splendor.
But again, the concerns might be well founded. So play safe, Take a test drive (a long test drive) and then decide. If you are plannign to go for the Activa/Dio you can do so with your eyes closed and now that there have been new color schemes - they look a little more exciting.
And please donot buy the TVS ks thing.. i somehow find it tacky and over priced and doesnt look like a full fledged scooter either..
