I am bewildered by many of the suggestions given here which only emulate a printer for pdf conversion.
The OP wants to print an existing book in html form. AFAIK, he doesn't want to convert and store it. I believe in that case, the result he gets from printing it directly from his browser will be not very different from what he would get by converting it to a pdf.
Am I missing something here?
