Need Inverter and Battery help

N
Indeed the older pre bankruptcy ones and even the newer ones are all really reliable.

Im talking about the new su kam ones which are still available on the market. infact I am using it currently.

Exact model is Brainy+ 2500
Now sukam is no more right, now there is suwastik created by same guy.

Does it make sense to spend more on sealed gel battery rather than the routine flooded batteries? Are these widely available and recommended?

I think sealed batteries have lower life than flooded batteries (as long as you maintain their water level).
Is it? Most websites claim that they have a better life and are more resilient to deep discharge cycles too.

Both Exide and Luminous launched Sealed GEL Batteries and both those models were discontinued and they replaced 90% of the batteries they sold with flooded batteries in warranty afterwards.

These batteries didnt even run the full 3-4 year warranty period forget 5-15 years. As it stands today both these brands do not sell any gel based inverter batteries.

Thank you.. so that's why I'm not able to see those models in Exide website.. I found it odd that these were seen in random third party sites only.

I think @enc0dex264 has already provided a more authoritative answer. But, I am speaking from personal experience. In India, you cannot trust almost any reviews.

Heres my recommendations if you care about getting the max lifespan from your batteries:

Exide Invatubular range has 1200 cycles.
Luminous Solar Tubular also has 1200 cycles but the company can technically refuse warranty if you don't pair them with a solar inverter.
Luminous Life-Max or Inverlast has similar performance to Exide Invatubular.

The above models you can easily get 7-10 years lifespan if you maintain them properly.

Previously these brands would regularly issue pamphlets to dealers and flaunt how their batteries are the best.. but now you are lucky if you see the proper AH rating on the lower end models.

Even if the websites don't show the cycle counts anymore. The above recommendations is based on my personal customer experience and working in the field for a few years.
