ah okay. didn't chech his post. edited my post now.

if you don't want UPS and writer, go for rajkumar's config. much faster and spec-for-gaming ;)

no idea about powersafe, but better be safe with APC :)

I don't think Q8200 would do good in gaming. It's lot slower than E8400

but I would seriously suggest AMD Phenom II X4 940 black edition. It even competes with Core i7 in some areas.

Well a E8400 will easily beat Q8200 in gaming AFAIK...(Correct me if i am wrong)

If you still want to get a Quad Core then go for Q9400 for 12k....

And instead of Powersafe Silver 500W get a PowerSafe Gold 500W..Reliable one..

I could bang the desk and say that Phenom II X4 920 and 940 Black Edition will be miles ahead of the above config.

For Intel, check Q9400 that costs around 12k. It has 3times L2 cache and higher clock speed.

modified config:

Phenom II X4 920: 10k-10.5k or Q9400: 12k

Biostar TA790GX mobo: 5.5k or MSI P45 Neo-F: 5k

2x2Gb DDR2 800MHz RAM: 2.5k

Samsung 2033: 7.8k

Western Digital or Seagate 500GB HDD: 3k

Cooler Master CM690 cabinet: 2k

Powersafe Gold 500W - 2.7k

Palit GTS250 : 9k-9.5k

where is the cm690 2k?

And Do you have to flash the biostar mobo first with a different amd procy to make it support P2 920? Friends not really tech savy

EDIT: Q9400 overruns the budget.
