I need a graphic for gaming within 15k either from KMD or Local.

Specs:
Intel q6600
4gb ram
19" monitor
corsair VX450

I will be very much obliged if your help choose between 4870 or GTX 260.

You can get a GTX 260 around 15k from KMD. That is your best bet.

You already have a 4850 oced. At stock GTX260 it will only be marginally faster, you may not even notice the difference.

I would suggest to not go for anything lower than a 4850 x2 or gtx 285

u saw sidhu's sig n suggesting to OP i guess..

+1 to GTX 260 core 216

^^ some guy is selling it for the same price but the EVGA one in the market section.. check it out.

I'm going to go in for a card soon. I think the best thing is to wait another week. The prices have already fallen by about $20 in the past week and I'm quite sure they will drop soon. But, I feel 4870 is quite VFM even though finding the GTX 260 hard to resist.

GTX 260 is currently the better buy compared to 4870 I think. The new driver release have given nvidia cards quite a margin over the ATI ones. Not to say that ATI won't catch up, but as of right now, GTX 260 is the better buy.

^ why are you shocked? i reckon one which is best, be it NV or ATi.. Core 216 is slightly better with new drivers, so there is nothing wrong to reckon it...:bleh:
