Need PAL to NTSC converter.

Have recently moved to India from USA and have shipped Samsung LCD tv from US.

Need suggestion or idea on how to run cable on this tv.

Samsung TV I got has NTSC technology however its PAL here in India.

So need ideas on how to convert signal and/or idea how to run cable on this US tv.

Most TV's have an option to switch to PAL or NTSC. Else get a Set Top Box, from TATA/Airtel etc.

I'm in same situation but i do have Tata Sky at home but not HD model.

Will I be fine?

^ I think what nitant meant was that certain STBs have either :

a) HDMI out

b) Component Video out

which doesn't depend on all this PAL/NTSC nuisance.

If your STB has either of these jacks, you should be good to go.

These jacks are usually on HD STBs, but I read somewhere that recent non-HD Tata Sky boxes had Component Video jacks too.

I'm kinda surprised that modern TVs dont support both standards. I've seen a 10 yr old CRT with both options.

My Tata Sky STB has composite video out but i have read somewhere few other DTH service providers have either of you mentioned.That should not be a problem to get get STB with HDMI/component out.
