i need a pair of size AA Rechargable batteries for my Digi cam and also a good recharger, right now i am using a pari of sanyo 2700 mah batteries, which do not last long, and the charger gets too hot while charging, can anyone suggest me something that would last longer and also suggest me a good charger which would stop charging the batteries once they are fully charged
thanks

How long have you had these batteries ?

..how many cycles have they been through ?

..when you first got them were they good enough for the job ?

^^ hey I definitely didn't kno that, can you suggest a few (or one) electronic charger, which kind of shops store these and how much they cost?

Peace

well i just got those batteries and the charger hardly a week ago, i have charged the batteries a few times only, the batteries lasts for about a 100 shots ,but in many reviews i have read the batteries being able to take more than 350 shots, i must also admit that i play around with the camera a lot trying to learn things, i have a canon a710 is, and where can i get an electronic charger? any particular brands?

actually NiMHs and Li-ion batts need a pulsed current charging with a high current rate to start with and a trickle charge after 85-90%

electronic chargers monitor the rate of charge continously, shift to trickle charge in the end and cut off charging after 100%

any decent brand like sony/sanyo/camelion will do the trick

i advice against camelion as 2 of their chargers died within a month of purchasing.Their batteries lasted a whole year though.

I am using Ripvan charger too good for AA or AAA rechargeable batteries, dont know how many times but till date getting full strength, using it for my kids toys.
Bit costly but worth.

Me using Uniross charger with 2300 mAH uniross batteries for my 710is.
Took around 200 shots with 4-5 videos in a single charge.I got 2500 mAh Sanyo also but they are not as good as uniross.

Got charger+ 6 batteries for 930 buks.

I brought a pack of 4 Eveready AAA batteries(600ma) with charger for cordless pads of my XBOX for Rs 325.

But 3 fully charged batteries hardly last for an before the range is lessened to less than a meter and frequent disconnection

Any suggestions for AAA batteries ?

AAA batteries are all in the same range of 600-800mAh

Some 1200mAh ones do exist but are either fake and genuine ones are damn hard to find

Any place where from i can order some ?
Coz its damn irritating to see it loose connection in middle of all the mayhem of Burnout or during the last minutes of one on one in FIFA !

I use the AA batteries of GP make, sold in India under the Eveready brand along with the charger. 2100 maH rating. I had purchased a pack of 4 batteries and charger for Rs. 950/- over a year ago. Don't know how much it is now. I have had no problems with the batteries or charger so far.

I believe that Uniross are also very good now.

Earlier I had purchased 2200 maH Sanyo batteries with a cheapo charger. The batteries were spurious and the charger was poor too.

Chances are the popular brands like Sanyo, Sony and Panasonic have a very high chance of being spurious.

I could be wrong but I think the 600 maH AAAs are NiCd while the 1200 maH are NiMH.

If u go to manish/ sara market in bombay u will see variety of duplicates mainly of sony/national etc available for 400 rs including battery

the other option eveready rechargeable readily available in india takes large time to charge
