Guys, I am planning to buy a 450 L + refrigerator. I have fixed my eye on Samsung RT59-EBSM (510 L capacity) Best price I was offered is 42500.

Any comments/suggestions !

Ezone & Croma have a lot offers going on especially for the high capacity Refrigerators.

Check out their stores.

They also have a lot of guaranteed gifts and freebies by way of scratch cards with these purchases, so your total cost will come down indirectly.

But go only for a BEE 5 star rated fridge as the slightly higher cost will be compensated by the lower electricity cost.

Thanks. Will chck Croma.

As for BEE ratings, I observed (with Samsung), 345 L+ have no ratiings.

Hi

My advice.

Don't touch any device which consumes a lot of power without the BEE rating
especially Refrigerators as they are on 24 hours

Samsung has introduced a complete new range in India of 5 star rated refrigerators

You may be taken for a ride with the electric bill and you will be adding to the carbon footprint.

Pay slightly more or go for a different brand or model but go only for a BEE 5 star or at least 4 star rated only

Shravan, Agree with what you say.

However as I mentioned, I do not see BEE ratings on higher capacity(400 L +) models, or maybe I missed some.

Besides I would prefer going for a brand that has good after sales support. I have read reviews about poor support by whirlpool etc.

Do you have any suggestions/

Hi

You can go the BEE site.
I have given the link below

You can search the model and size of the Refrigerator you want and check the star rating. The search is quite versatile.

well whirlpool does have a good after sales support (ASS :). i have a 10 yr old refrigerator, which was out of warranty. we had issues with the colling. we called up whirpool cust care and they did sent their mechanic to fix it up. even after he fixed it once, we we not happy with the cooling. he came back 2 more times to fix things up. and the charges were very reasonable. i give a thumbs up to whirphool ASS.
