Need suggestions - UsedYetNew.com

UsedYetNew has a mixed rep – some users got solid deals, others reported inconsistent product conditions or vague warranty handling. I’ve not personally ordered from Usedyetnew.com, but a friend of mine did pick up a Lenovo T460 for around ₹15.7K including tax. The unit had a minor screen flicker issue, and while their phone support was unresponsive, they eventually replied via email and offered a replacement. He chose to keep the laptop as the issue didn’t worsen, and it's been working fine even after 6 months. So yes, expect minor flaws since the prices are throwaway, but warranty support does come through if you're patient. Worth a try if you’re okay with some risk.

I can tell you one thing IIT/IIM Pass outs will not be refurbishing pcs.
The testing of old hardware is an low paying job. Usually people in the market get paid around 6k-15k for it. If they are doing this then, you can understand what reputation of that institution might be.

It just sounds like a marketing bull hockey they are trying to pull.

In case you're going to buy a ThinkPad from these online resellers, there's a solid change they will have third-party non-OEM parts. I purchased a ThinkPad T490 from NewJaisa which is a similar refurbisher and while it was half-decent condition, it had an after-market trackpad and keyboard that stopped working in less than 4 months. They tried to get out of warranty claim but Amazon took it back and refunded me (after several calls).

This is 100% how this happens in the refurb market. This is why I don't deal in laptops or do it very rarely when I can be sure that the internal components have not been changed.

I also doubt if they'll be able to give good quality products at a rate cheaper than Assimenator. If their product is significantly cheaper then most likely it is fake.
