Need to buy a DVD/Divx player

Get a Phillips player ... I've heard they can actually play scratched discs ... But not sure if they have divx yet ... otherwise get a SONY...

Please send me the package !!!!!!!!
 
PHILIPS for sure..

For that budget:

Preference 1: 5106K/97 (Difficult to find these days..but is a gem :))

Preference 2: 3046/94 (Got for sis 2 days back..Plays everything..Tested.)
 
^^ Lol for 4k you'll get cheapo players w/o HDMI. If you want the real thing, get the Samsung one (Forgot the model, but its the one their bundling free with the 32" LCD's)
 
Okey how much is that priced at... I aint buying this for myself but have to gift it to a friend of mine :P...

HDMI only works on LCD's anyways ;)
 
bought LG DS9543CPM last week for 3050/-.. retails @ 3990/-

Seems good.. has played everything i hav thrown at it until now !!

Has a very slick interface too !!

Formats i have already tried..

ACD, VCD,DVD's (movies), DivX 4 and 5 movies, XviD movies.

DVD-RW (movie plus pics) read both.. just fine !! :D

HD 860 buddy! I am getting that with 40' R7 soon :hap2: :ohyeah:

mine is divx 555 working fine and also can play data cds with mpg/mpeg, dat files loaded on them

7K are you sure ?

the same model(HD860) is being sold here for 8K
@AMD4LIFE , thanks! but what about data files along with avi , mpeg , dat files loaded on a dvd ? :)
 
1) Philips 5106K - 4500/- (in september when I hunt for)
2) LG DS9533 - 3200/- (in september when I bought it!)

Both have same functions, usage, features, hardware, chipset etc etc only diffrent is LG after sales service sucks (though I didn't need them yet:) )

Well I've a test DVD..It has mp3's, jpg's, a DivX & an Xvid file..all on the same DVD..Everything worked on my 5106K/97 :)

On Lg DS9533 I run DVD with 1800 Songs and work perfectly well :) . While on searching for DVD I come to know some DVD Players not capable to Run 1800 songs DVD they are restricted 1000-1200:huh: (i think, can't remember exactly)
 
look out for HDMI supported players,
samsung hd 860 is also a good bet for the same price.
Future is HDMI buddy! :hap2:

Any User Experience, just don't reccommend as Future is Good (with product broushers) :)
