Storage Solutions Need to buy Internal Harddisk

Well guys,
I had 2 internal Seagate Harddrives
Primary : 160GB 7200.11 around 2-3 months old
Secondary 80GB 7200.10 more than 2yrs old which i gave it to a friend for Rs700(I know thats a rip-off but he wanted the drive badly )

So now iam left with only a 160GB Internal(Seagate) and a 750GB external by WD
Iam planning on planning a 500GB one which is quite enough for me
Just confused between which one to buy,WD or Seagate
Both costs around the same 2800/-

Thoughts ??

even tho WD is not bad, but still i d prefer seagate for its brand name.....

for date retention i would anyday go for WD.....Seagate is good for a lit bit performance improvement when it comes to portable category but they suddenly die unlike WD.

look wise i love Seagate.

you said you have around 3k in your pocket. Think about the Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB which is probably priced at 3150/-. Total VFM I think. Though personally I am not using it, there are many members using and satisfied with it.
