Guys,I need to buy a Laptop and budget is 40K
Usage purpose is for my final year project work and normal use
No intentions of playing games over it
Please suggest ?
 
dell studio 15 basic config ...should be available within 40k through a dealer on TE....

Acer 5738z/5738/5738G are also good but their build quality is not as good as dell...
 
Can also look at inspiron 15 with the complete cover, will satisfy your need and no worry about repairs/damage too.
 
Inspiron 14 is the best bet for you.you can get a fairly good config for 40k. New Studio 14 with IGP is also available for 41k...choose between these two.
 
Studies + Gaming ---> New Studio 14 with ATI graphics @ 43,900

Only Studies ---> New Studio 14 with Intel IGP @ 40,900

Anyways configure with 9 cell batteryies in both the config.you will have a very good system with 6 + hours of battery life @ not more than 2.4kg....
 
one of my friends recently bought from dell website :

Studio 15 with P8600 proc, 3 GB RAM, 512 ATI graphics card in 48 K only....so you can consider that option too
 
Or you can buy the Acer Aspire 5810T: 15.6", 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Intel 4500MHD, card reader, BT, WiFi, ... Price: 35k.
Looks very sleek probably one of the thinnest laptops. All aluminium body. It's got all the specs for your project work. Since you won't do any gaming, the specs seem good. Battery life: 8hrs (claimed) should give you 6 hrs at least. Seems good to me. Saw it on display at Manipal centre, Bangalore.

Btw, just bought an Aspire 5738z for my room mate. Plays most games effortlessly. Good value for money.
