Need to buy some shirts for college

Hi

I am about to enter DU. I want to buy a few shirts. To start with I will buy 3 shirts, size 44. The problem is that my budget is real tight, Rs.3500-4000 in total. :(

Where can I buy good shirts and for how much? How is Sarojini Nagar?

If there is absolutely no way to get good shirts below Rs.2000 per piece then I will need to spend from my own pocket. I hope that is not the case.

Please help me out...
 
Sarojini Nagar is a good place and so is Lajpat Nagar Market. Go for Peter England (cheap and nice) and also look for the SALE search for Brand Factory outlet in Delhi.
 
You should try some Pantaloon outlets. There are some larger designer shirts that look very nice. Comes for around 1000-1200 rs per shirt/t shirt.

I am considering Shopper's Stop and SN for the time being.

How about two shirts from SN and one from a premium brand?

Otherwise, go for some Tommy Hilfiger polos. Around Rs 1600 each. Simply, yet classy. Get 2-3 nice colors.
 
Firstly wecolme to DU, as per posts it seems that you have joined college in South Campus.

You can very well buy 'decent to good' shirts in this budget, check the stores in Lajpat Nagar central market. Check Chunmun and Ritu Wear.

Last week I picked up 2 parx and 1 levis shirt and another levis jeans from Ritu Wears Rohini for 46xx approx. Of course denim was pricier. you can very well buy 4 shirts under this price.
 
where do you get tommy shirts for that price?

i guess shopper's stop is the way to go. chun mun and ritu wears stock crap.

i have bough two already and am planning to buy the third from a premium brand now.

@ OP - You'd be better off buying casual / semiformal shirts from Levis/Killer/Spykar/Reebok/UCB instead of formal shirts , unless of course you are joining as a professor
 
you can try Mufti , for shirt you can also go for benetton shirts, Sale may be starts in another few days so attack on the first day for good collections.

OT : Thanks for that Xtees link. Nice Tees there. Can you help me with the fabric? I am confused between Thick and Normal fabric :S

Oops you didnt check the Rohini Ritu wears store, sorry.. I cant guess what they stock in Lajpat Nagar..:P
