I've got a lot of old stuff lying at my parents that I need to get rid of.

They are:

1) Old UPS (dead)
2) Really old speakers (don't know working status, must be dead too)
3) Old KB and Mouse (KB has keys missing)
4) Old PC tower that has - PSU (think it's dead), CD Drive, Floppy Drive, Pentium Proc (P3 I think), Mobo. No RAM or HDD)

What do I do with these? Is there a shop in Delhi that would buy this stuff?

experiment!
Get online, find projects that you can use your components in.
Try fixing some components yourself.
You'll barely get 100-200 bucks if you sell the lot..so might as well have some fun with it.

Depends on your priorities. If you are the busy kind living in a place with limited space (like flat/apartment) and want to get rid of the stuff, just sell it by the kilo :)

If you are the kind who has the time and inclination to experiment and play with old stuff, just keep it with you; add it to your trash collection :P (like I do to mine )

But since you asked the question, I know you want to dispose of it, so I suggest u just go ahead and free some space in ur home.

Dont give it to a scrap dealer/kabadi .. someway or the other it ll lead to harmful results.

try to look up a way to dispose the dead parts properly. since u r in delhi, you can visit Nehru place. There is a seconds shop which ll take give some money for working parts of the rig.

You can ask them abt safe disposal of the worthless machinery you got.

Most of the components are dead. There is hardly anything to experiment with this rig...
ya, exactly. I was thinking of setting up a torrent box but I'll need a working monitor, RAM, HDD, PSU etc. I think it's pointless spending so much on an old rig.

That's what I was hoping for. Don't care about the money. But do you know any address/location?

i was actually thinking about doing something experimental like using the box to make some kind of control pod to do things like control motors to open close your curtains/adjust lighting etc...
or anything else for that matter...doesn't have to be practical, but if you've got the inclination, I'm sure you could find something to do with your components
