I've got a an i5 750 processor and i'm bit skeptical about whether to pick up a P55 board or a H55 board to moderately overclock my processor to say 3.5Ghz to 3.6Gs

>And the rest of the config will be corsair 2x2 4gb 1600mhz cl9 1.65v XMS3 and sapphire 5850 ...

>absolutely no interest in crossfire setups

>and i have ample cooling for the processor (TRUE 120+1156 bracket)

Is there any difference in performance with 4pin and 8 pin cpu power connector??
and the power phase controllers surrounding the cpu socket??

Bottom line need a good motherboard in ~5k~ range...
boards in my mind
Gigabyte h55m ud2h
asus p7h55m

i guess i've posted this thread in a wrong section earlier..
Require inputs from fellow TE'ians..

Grab a P55 board from gigabyte, it's a good one, i think all solid caps, and the power circuitry is good enuf...

it gives more power to cpu adding to stability when overclocking
and if your psu supports it it is good

Dont worry, I think u'll need p[in if you're going for above 3.8-4GHz...

@ stock 3.4 might be attainable.
