Well, as the title suggest i am in search of ultra-affordable (cheap sounds cheap 
) desktop speakers!
Want a pair of 2.0 or the most reasonably priced 2.1 speakers, coz its gonna be used by parents and they dont like loud volumes, specially bass.
What options can i chose if budget is approx 1k. I dont want to spend more, coz i am dead sure they won't use 2.0's at half the volume.
I am purchasing this weekend. So need inputs asap! Also prefer 2.0's as their desktop table has only 8" wide cabin for woofer needs! So, if a entry level 2.1 has those dimensions, only then would it be of any help.
