That is why I am searching for a local dealer. Saves me the hassle of couriering the modem. The TP Link sales guy said that he will get back to me with the name of a local dealer but no calls from him so far.

Mate local dealer will not help in rma..

Tp link has only one service centre, they handle the rma and replacement service themselves , you will have to ship product to mumbai, irrespective of where you buy from.. And they promptly send back a new one...

Also u might get it for 2200-2400 online.. Local dealers here quote 2800-3000...
