CPU/Mobo Need your opinions

Reading all the stuff you've posted here, I think it would be best if I wait a little more and get a PCIe card along with the rest of the stuff. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Repped a few people.

Taking your graphics card into consideration, I think 1.7 Ghz proccy is more than enough. You need not upgrade that you defintely your graphics card performance is not going to increase with that. what you can do is upgrade the ram. this is the only upgade that will have a major impact on the performance of the system.

Deathdart, why don't you buy the 64-bit Sempron 3400+, does it perform better than a A64 2800+ ?

I wud suggest go for 1) AMD 2800+, Asus K8N combo : 8.7k
2) Hynix 512x2 = 1 gig RAM , 2.1kx2 = 4200/-



sell off your fx 5700 LE for about 1.5-2k , and buy BF1381's club3d 9600 for 3k ( it still has one year mumbai warranty left )

thatz additional 1-1.5k

total : 8700+ 4200 + 1250( taking the average ) + 1750 = 15,900/-

and if ur selling ur previous rig , am sure u can gather about 6k for the MOBO+CPU+RAM+5700LE , add another 3k and get the 6600 GT AGP which is 8900+4% VAT

so this deal wud be like

1) Asus K8N+2800 combo : 8700/-
2) Hynix 512x2 = 1 gig ( u dont need them matched since s754 doesnt have dual channel support ) : 4200/-
3) BIG 6600 GT AGP - 9250/-

Total : 22150

selling off the 1.7 GHz Intel P4 CPU+Some ASUS mobo +256 MB SDRAM+5700LE should at least fetch you 6-6.5k

so total expenditure : 22150 - 6500 = 15650/-( everything new and locally warrantied ) . good luck

but is there any PCI board for him so it will be little futurep proof.
