Hello friends,
Need your thoughts/opinion on my situation below

I had a friend visiting India from US for a week. Microcenter happened to be on journey route ,so i asked him to get to me MB+CPU+RAM combo from there.(My bad that i got carried away by the combo deal)
As my luck would have it , the motherboard won't POST. It is not recognizing the RAM ( Stuck in orange debug led + One long beep followed by two short beep) .
I tried various permutations with RAM slots and RAM sticks , CMOS battery etc but no luck . I also tried a RAM from different manufacturer.

I took the CPU and RAM and put it in a different motherboard and it was able to POST (i could see the msg >>> Press F1 to enter setup etc)

I went to ASUS authorize center in Dadar(Mumbai).They said motherboard was bought from US so take it back to them.
They could "try" fixing the issue for a price but no guarantee . In case they can not repair they would return the faulty motherboard back to me. They will not replace it

MB:: ASUS B650E-F ROG Strix Gaming WiFi
CPU:: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
RAM:: G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit (2*16)

So here are my options,
1) I give the motherboard to ASUS service center (pray that they repair it successfully ). They said they will send it to ASUS Dehradun center (50-50 chance they fix it , and hope repair charge is not too exorbitant )
2) I give back the motherboard to my returning friend , so that he can try the return/repair(RMA) process in US . Ideally, they should replace but there is chance that ASUS will try to mark it as user fault and avoid replacing. Additionally, my friend will(may) come back to India only after 10-11 months
3) Try repairing locally at Lamington road (Mumbai) (50-50 chance they fix it . This will void my US warranty )
4) Buy another motherboard (definitely not ASUS again)

Try option 1 before jumping to 2.
When 1 and 2 fails, 3 is the Go! But by that time you will be left without any mobo for many months... So 4 makes sense but no logic hating Asus here and any model/brand be a DOA except that yours was an import with no international warranty..
