Since negative reps cannot be handed by regular members and I was not sure whether anyone had bothered to report his posts, I am posting a thread here. First of all, let me make it clear to the mods and the other members this has nothing to do with him being a Fanboi or his latest rant thread in the Graphics section that closed after it got sour and I do not have any personal enmity towards simulation3. I believe he has every right express his opinions as long as he respects others opinions.

I got interested in this guy's posts after his latest ATi rant thread, Usually people like him tend to post some entertaining stuff. So when I got bored today with nothing to do, I started going though his post history just like people used to go though Techboi's posts for fun. :P

I found that all his posts so far can be classified into 4 types.

1. Fanboish rants.

These constitute a majority of his posts, but these are not so harmful as long as they are just rant's.

2. Potshots directed at Muzux2.

I had to put this down as a special category. I don't know why simulation3 considers Muzux2 as though he is his worst enemy from seven generations long (I can't imagine it is simply because he is a Fanboi from the opp camp), but every time Muzux2 makes a post in some thread, be it a advice/recommendation or just information, this guy simply has to take potshot at him.

3. Misleading/semi-correct/erroneous information and advice based on the same.

In one thread, where someone was looking for a low-mid range GPU, he goes on to recommend a costlier 1GB version of a low end GPU without considering that low-mid range GPU's do not have enough power to utilize 1GB memory properly and then argues about the same even when he was pointed why he was wrong. There are many similar posts about other stuff with misleading/semi-correct info/advice most of them about Graphics cards and their functionality and about PSU's.

4. Unwarranted insults/attacks againist fellow members.

I agree, its impossible for anyone to a perfect saint and people do make some insulting posts occasionally when they loose it, but this guy is in the habit of doing it regularly without any reason whatsoever.

Further, he posts as if the rest of the members are totally dumb or of lesser intelligence than him and that they won't understand anything he is saying and post stuff like "Have I kept it simple enough for you" or " I kept it simple this time".

The number of good posts he has made so far is very less and I believe that none of the other members (especially newbies) should be considering his advice/recommendation/misinformation posts seriously and I think he also deserves a negative rep. I am making this into a POLL so that the rest of the members can so let the mods know whether this guy really deserves a negative rep or not.
 
I've alerted mods several times about the same user, and his clones. He has no respect to senior members. I've no idea why he always bash my posts. If you look at his posts, he has hardly helped not more than two members otherwise his 99% posts are based on rants against ATi and misbehave with other members..
 
Such members should be banned ..We should respect each other's comments in open forms, what ever from senior/junior members.

I agree for misbehaving simulation3 deserves negative ratings/Permanent ban.

oops, didn't know disapprove option has been opened up for members. :S, (or is it available only for members with certain post count/reputation), the last time I checked it was not available for me, so didn't check again before posting this thread.

A ban should be a last resort option and is unwarranted in this case. negative reps are more than enough to let the fellow know that his attitude has not been accepted well by fellow members and also warn members who do not know about him to take his posts with a pinch of salt.
 
even i can see the " I disapprove option " while adding reps . Is it the same as negative reps ?
 
man i just read some of his posts. It seems he swears a lot and calling people shit and retarded. Mods I suggest you give him a warning and if he continues this way he should be banned.
 
Simulation3 was warned by me and few other mods earlier btw, we'll look into it.

Looks like the admins became too generous and gave -ve rep powers to all the members during the anniversary celebration or when safin coded some hack to block the bots :P

Will be reversed soon, please don't exercise that feature.
 
I am for negative reps for offensive/abusive posts.

(OT-if possible some senior members kindly look into the P2P section of TE there is one new member who constantly posts spam threads/posts with same topic over and over again with different headings. I have already reported some of his posts to the Mods(and they promptly deleted them as quick as i reported). But the guy does not seems to be stopping(still continues with double posts and duplicate threads).The member in question is a P**y torrent devotee.)

As for Simulation3... I think the best someone can do is bebunk his posts when he false-advice someone.. and totally ignore his threads. I mean why fuel the fire when you it's not good for you. Replying his threads are only waste of time and resources... not to mention the headache and frustration that you get in bonus.

i was thinking same, if he's gonna -ve rep, it would be a blunder. At least, i will keep myself away giving any -ve rep to him, otherwise my green rep dots will be no more..

i think, negative rep should be honoured only to mods and some senior respected members..:)

He even seems to have some sort of anti-TE sentiments with certains posts pointing to that. :S
I had suggested he voice his grievances in feedback but seems like many have had enough of him and started one against him. :P

Yep, I think he does deserve a negative reps. He is an extremely cocky guy, who think he knows all. Now that's not all that bad, but the fact this guy is using his illogical facts, into recommending something that's a waste to a newcomer, is not to be taken lightly.

Also his attitude towards members is very rude.
