Thats pretty much it.

The minute I open a lot of windows at once that start downloading stuff, or if I have a torrent client runnings, for some reason I start getting pops n clicks in the audio stream. Very very annoying if I have songs playing in the background or if I am trying to watch a movie etc :(

1. Yes, its not the player. Issue tested with WMP, Winamp and VLC.

2. NOT the browser too. Both firefox and crome same thing. + Once utorrent picks up speed(>100Kb/s (2mbps line)), same problem as well.

Chipset: Nvidia 650i, Realtek high definition sound chip. Vista 32-bit.

Anyone experienced this? :(

1. Update all drivers to latest revisions.

2. If problem persists, it's an issue with the power regulation circuit in the motherboard.

Forgot to mention. Issue ONLY in Vista, NOT in Xp. (Dual boot) So it shouldnt be a hardware issue, right?

I face similar issue sometimes, and I observed its my DVD ReWriter, when powered, PC crawls, I suspest JMicron onboard controller is responsible. Same components have no issue w/ other mobo.

Then I had 8800GT, which degraded, PC started to hang, had to RMA GPU.

Issue seems resolved :D

I Checked and it turns out the motherboard CD has Audio drivers separate from the chipset drivers so Audio was running on the default MS High Def Audio Driver. That seems to have been causing the issue. Downloaded and installed the latest Realtek driver and things seem fine now.

I suspect the DVD writer related crawling happens due to the DMA thingy. :S
