Laptops Netbook for approx. Rs 20K?

Can you guys suggest any good net book for under 20K? How are the Dell netbooks? and how do they compare with MSI and Asus netbooks?
 
I saw an add in ToI today from HP they had listed some model of netbook for like 20k as diwali offer. Would update later after checking the model no.

Guess the dell is 3-4k more than your budget. Plus only a 3-cell battery. So poor battery life. The Asus are also a bit costly. For under 20k the Acer is the best bet.
Saw a deal for Asus 1002HA in another forum for 20k. Good deal.
 
The best option would be Samsung N128 (without OS) ,with 1000off ebay coupon it would cost around 16.2K ...market prices are in the range of 16.5-17.2K ...samsung has one of the netbook lineups in india...acer,asus and many other brands are overpriced in india...but before buying an atom check out its performance(multi tab browsing,etc) in some store...many people buy them and are completely disappointed
 
oh well, am also planning to buy in another 15days or so..after much reseach..i shortlisted to Asus 1005HA and Samsung N120...both r great netbooks..N120 being full size keyboard is d one to go if u type too much...n it is known for silent fan operation :) for almost everything else..Asus is gud :)
though both come with XP loaded..u might get upgrade to 7 free...

Bumping this thread as I require a netbook too for around 20-25k.

Usage:

Primarily for browsing the internet. Need something with a good keyboard, screen and battery life.
Please suggest some good models with their prices. Thanks.
 
I would say go with Dell Inspiron Mini. But whatever you may decide with PLEASE DO WATCH this review before :)

What is the difference between the Dell Mini10 and the Mini10v ? And approximate prices of the same?

I am not 100% sure but one has LED backlit display and other doesn't. Dunno know which one of them has and which one doesn't! :P
 
Check the Acer Aspire One at crome malls.. or any electronics store.. The proccy is a little less powered than the earlier ones but they have bluetooth and all now... give them a go.. Asus looks crap (personal opinion) Dell and HP is a little costly IMO.
 
Toshiba,ASUS,Acer,Lenovo,HP,Dell are overpriced in India..the prices in india are not synchronised with the US Prices . Dell mini10v was 23-24K . Samsung has one of the best netbooks in its lineup.Acer sells coz its avail everywhere. availability for samsung is a issue. samsung is the only company afaik which sells Windows free laptops in India

Advantage : LED Backlit Display (samsung laptop displays are always good) , Stereo Speakers SRS...;Bluetooth 2.1,6 cell 5200mah,N138 looks stunning,USB charging (like the toshiba NB205 ) ,Wifi N,Matt display ,.....all this at 16K
