Hi

My work requires me to travel between three towns. At each place i have a Benq G2420HD monitor.

my question: is the HP DM1z powerful enough to be connected to this external monitor and will it run Lightroom 3.0, starcraft 2. i can happily settle for an above avg performance.
i do watch a lot of movies/ youtube/ surfing...work is limited to MS word/excel.

i am open to other recommendations provided they are lightweight and do not cost over 40k.

Yes it can handle Lightroom. I don't know about Starcraft, lookup the HP DM1z thread in notebookreview forums to see the list of games the HP Dm1z can handle. I have connected the HP DM1z to my Dell G2410H and it works flawlessly. It was also connected to a 32 Inch Toshiba LCD and could easily run a full hd Blu ray rip.

Sub-40k gets you lots of other lightweight options. For 42k you can get the Dell Vostro 3350.
 
hey thanx for your review on hp dm1z...just bought one yesterday.....upgraded ram to 6gb :D....will just do a fresh os reinstall :)....thanx for ur help
 
Don't want to make a new thread,

But anyone consider newly launched VIAO VPCEL15EN ? Same config with 15" screen with optical drive....any better ?

MRP 28k, what is the MOP ?

Edit:- Forget it,battery life 3.5 hour <----sucks in this department.
