Graphic Cards Never buy XFX GPUs or deal with Akshay Enterprises in Kolkata

Just read this thread and I'm sorry about the trouble you went through.

But I'm shocked with the Rashi talk .... My XFX 630i RMA got done very smoothly. No issues ... no problems ... no complaints! Perhaps I'm an exception :P .....
 
Seems akshay screws with customers with mid/ low end or old hardware(like 1-1.5yrs old), because I just had a good experience with akshay rma, my XFX HD5850 broke in 3 days(will never buy xfx again :@ ) anyways took the card to rashi, got kicked out and took it to akshay(original importer), they accepted the card without much hassle and gave me a new replacement in only 3 weeks, I submitted on 4th august, got the card past wednesday.

So far warranty experience was good, instead of giving me a rma'd product they gave me new one from their stock as soon was rma status was confirmed by XFX to them, this card also had a new free game on it(assassins creed), last one had AvP. So far this was the fastest rma I've seen in my life, their behavior was also nice, before giving me the new card they tested it in front of me by running Lost Planet 2 benchmark and Uniengine heaven to stress the card, also they gave me a few extra door hangers(looks nice :P ).

PS: The card they gave me is genuine as I was able to register it under my name in XFX website, also my last card still appears registered to me, so they gave me the card before the rma was complete.

So it would appear they screw with customers having mid range/ old hardware, although XFX has the worst build quality I've seen, the rma process was smooth and painless for me.

Wish you luck on your rma, I've seen this kind of behavior from rashi as well, good to high end customer but screws mid range owners, hassled my fiend with 8400GS for nearly 3 months, so never buy from akshay or rashi again(and stay away from XFX), get MSI for nVidia and Sapphire for ATI.
 
Okay here is the experience.

Me and my friend visited Akshay Enterprises and were immediately were escorted to the cabin of Mr Narendra without having to give our introduction.

He immediately opened a sealed Container box and handed over a new XFX 8800GT Extreme Edition card to my friend and said you gonna love this. When he opened the box my friend said Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! It was the XFX 8800GT Extreme Edition card (640 Mhz clock speed) with Zalman cooler. He did explain that his stuff was stuck in customers due to which he was forced to provide a lower clock speed card. However, no warranty is available henceforth on the new card given to my friend by Akshay.

The end result has turned out to be positive. Hence, my friend is very happy. The card was tested and is working like a charm as all 8800GT did. It performed a tad better as it is factory oced and has Zalman fan which keeps the temps low. Hope I also have a positive experience.

Akshay told me to contact them in 30 days time as it will take that long for my card to be replaced. So will update you all.

See? It turned out ok at last, akshay is much much better than rashi is, the 8800GT with the zalman cooler is a premium product and will serve your friend nicely :clap: and do one thing, call them after 3 weeks cause they also told me to call after a month but got mine in about 3 weeks.

Oh God. Not again. We are done with that deal Udit. It was not a smooth deal. Everyone in TE knows that and it is over a year now. Grow up and learn to move on in life.

You are just stuck with that think like the rat was stuck with the nut in the movie Ice Age 2. U remember what happened to the Rat?
