Specs look fantastic. I hope the sound lives up to that quality as well. I really like their replaceable opamp idea. However then again I'd like to see a snd card with no opamps in the signal path :P.
 
You can always replace the opamps by all discrete circuitry and get much better characteristics... You are any day better off discrete ;). For the record most consumer cards esp creatives use absolute rubbish opamps at the output stage :P.
 
yeah.. CL always seems to have their priorities messed up... insted of using good DAC's and putting lesser DSP capablities in their lower models, they use the same DSP but worse DAC's for the lower end cards :no:

but then again, as long as creative's biggest market consists of 1337 gamerbois ( i used to be one :ashamed: ... i blew up 15K on a platinum pro :( ) who fall for their 192Khz(ahem!) 24bit (ahem AHEM!) marketing spin, who would rather have EAX 4,or 5 more fps or a zillion DSP modes, they wont care :|

Reviews are not out yet , but considering their last card got rave reviews across the board, looks like this will be the best card for Music and Video (DVD etc)
