Tata Indicom has followed suite with Airtel and MTNL :)
They have come up with new exciting plans as Indicom Broadband 2.0 :hap2:

Airtel would still be cheaper , and that is saying a lot.

And they give 1 month free on rent of 6 months, so TATA outplay them here by just a bit. TATA had definitely become the most expensive ISP lately with their stupid pricing. Hopes this brings some balance back to the equation.

I agree that Tata's plans were very aggresively charged before. Now they have learnt a lesson. Also in many cities (like PUNE) Airtel is present in only select localities while TATA has really improved on the coverage part.
I too was on Airtel for 2 years but the place where I stay now has only BSNL and TATA among the big players.
Also TATA is giving free 1months broadband on payment of 4 months rent as compared to Airtel's 6 months.
 
Tata gives better coverage, just 'cause of wimax. but with wimax you have frequent disconnection, varying speed. thats why I'll rate tata's 512 kbps plan(wimax) equivalent to airtel's 384 kbps plan. Wired connections are Ok, but customer service is still not good.

The most important information is this, rest is useless infront of this condition.
 
I got the Flash 256 plan 2 days back and speeds are very decent with upto 200KBps which is more than the promised 1.5Mbps so i'm happy but since last night there's zero signal !
Guess something wrong, need to complaint........ :(

BTW torrenting is not so smooth and FUP is 45GB so i guess i'll shift to some plus plan where torrenting is smooth n i 384plus fup applies at 75GB which shall be decent for me.

Does the FUP apply only during the daytime or is it the total data transfer including night?

Also, does Airtel's FUP apply during the night time?
 
guys..got offer from tata guys today.

2 Mbps plan for 1000 rs with 2GB download limit and 8pm-8am unlimited download..... hnmnm tempting plan :)

can anybody tell me how to check FUP or whatever..... i dont want 45 or 65GB download limit. have to download lot of disvoery series and couple of HD movies... so it will be easily above 65GB pm.

plz dont tell me BSNL has got better plan that this.... bloody BSNL :@:@:@ told me that they will have cable extended towards my apartment(hardly 4 km from exchange and less than a km from person who is using BSNL BBright now)

that within 3 months BB will be at my apartment... and its been a year its same bloody answer.....
 
I just switched to Infinity 750 and I must say its awesome. HQ Youtube videos without a hitch.

It is awesome. Dont really care about 1.5 mbps increase. And this is really cheap coz I get a static and 90kbps+ speeds for like 1.25 a month, which is only a bit more than my earlier 256 plan.

FUP is waived off !!! Its only if the customer puts it as a condition before taking a connection.

Just got the connection installed today.
Actually I booked the connection on Friday and the Guys were at my home for cabling and installation on Saturday noon. Unfortunately I was not available and my cell was out of coverage.
I went with the Flash 384 plan for now and paid 4months advance rental.
 
its Ok.. :) , I dropped the tata wimax connection just 'cause of frequent speed drops, it was very annoying while playing online games. games used to stuck many times. also mine was 512kpbs unlimited and streaming of youtube videos were also not as smooth as it was on airtel. had to wait for buffering. Also as far as I believe, TATA never gives a single kbps extra then what is their in your plan. :) .. I tried both wired and wimax.
 
I wanted to go for Airtel or reliance but the airtel showroom personel told me the cables are not put where i stay ..at that road :( now only option is BSNL ..:(

Dont be disapointed.
BSNL is also good. Once installed you wont have issues.....
I also did not have any option other than BSNL and TATA. I went with TATA as the DSLAM is on my terrace and the new plans were attractive....

I know yaar at home i have bsnl ka bb but here i need to take phone and broadband na and it will take some days to come right i want it asap man downloads are waiting ..;:bleh:
 
The most imp thing to be noticed is FUP which is just 45000MB per month on flash 384 and needless to say the frequent disconnections and brand name TATA Indicom :S

also no torrenting on flash 384 as u get IP through DHCP and hence blocked :|

Needless to say that if u keep downloads on, on Sundays alone full day you will end up downloading around 10GB data and make it 4 sundays so its 40GB right there...forget about night downloading :S What crap thing...:|
