new broadband connection for casual browsing for home

hey guys,
i am planning to go for a broadband connection for my home, can you guys please suggest me for a good broadband connection, basic req is for casual browsing , light downloads, email checking etc

i am looking for a plan which has a download speed of around 300 kbps, i am looking at the tata photon pro plans, the tarrif is 799/ month, 300 kbps download speed, no installation etc as a part of launch offer

Try BSNL.

Although, there customer service sucks but their network is rock solid and stable. they have Unlimited plan for Rs750. 256kbps speed with free modem.

would it be easier to get a connection? i am self employed and based in indiranagar, bangalore
have heard its not easy to get a bsnl connection

I you just have to fill up a form and connection would be activated with week for so. try doing a inquiry in main exchange
 
bsnl customer care sucks? thats an understatemant. its terrible. even bizzare at times. but as gaurish u will hardly ever have to go thru it as thier network supreme.undisputed.period.
 
For Wired:
Casual browsing:
BSNL 250 plan - 1GB limit - cant download much
BSNL 500C - 2.5GB limit 2-8am free downloads

Both 2mbps
