^Nah, I don't think there's anything illegal about it...Its just parallel import, like someone importing stuff directly and selling it to consumers, as Canon's stuff is usally available at less than half prices in the US...
Canon India's bad pricing is here to blame..

Got it finally... a relief. The bloody courier people were the worst; ARAMEX - keep away from this guys. I mean, the couriers in india are pretty bad overall but these are easliy the worst. They just expect everyone to take the packages from their office...

How much did u buy the S3 for? i want to buy S3 by next week. had gone to heera panna was quoted 13400 for the cam, 1050 for the 2500 mh batteries and 550 for the 1 gb card. shud i buy it from there? ne idea how much for S3 at alpha? pls suggest where i shud buy it from

got it for 14.3k so your price is pretty good i guess. The batteries and charger are a bit too costly... at least couple hundred less. 2100/2200 ma also works.
