Graphic Cards New graphics card under 30k

My 4 year old GTX 560 Ti decided to expire today so now I have to buy a new card. I was thinking of getting a GTX 970 but am open to buying AMD. What would be an equivalent card from AMD? My planned resolution is WQHD 1440p.

On the price front, my budget is 30k max (lesser the better obviously :) ). I live in Mumbai, and Prime has 970 for about 27k, which looks quite good.

One more factor is the RMA if anything goes wrong. Between Zotac, MSI, Asus and Gigabyte, who was the best customer support / RMA?

amd equivalent would be r9 290/r9 390 but they are priced higher online. there is a 290 on flipkart for ~28k but it looks like it's using a reference cooler which i would completely avoid.
asus and xfx is handled by rashi which has some bad reviews (i had a negative time with their rma)
sapphire is handled by aditya infotech (i've had a pleasant experience with them)
zotac has the longest warranty at 2+3 yrs with registration.
you'll get better price at local dealers but as far as online prices go the gtx 970 offers the best performance/rupee for your budget.
