New iPad user - some queries

i have tried to install cydia.. it is installed properly but unable to install whatsapp.. when i try to install using iconfiguration utility it says that an unknown error occurred...

Not sure whether i will be able to install or not... :(

If i am unable to install will upgrade to ios 6.1.3... wherein my cydia will be uninstalled as i dont want to take my ipad to factory settings (my temple run data will be lost) :(
 
If you update your iOS to 6.1.3 you will loose the ability to jailbreak. I am sure losing a game data should not really be of concern.

hmmm thats true... but i seriously wanted to install whatsapp on the ipad as i use ipad more than my phone... lets c.. Somebody is helping me to get it sorted out.. if it works it will be great for me...

Jb for 6.1.3 is not out yet and wont be there as raksrules said,better stay on 6.1.2

You have to jailbreak your ipad in order to use whatsapp in your ipad, btw are you using the same number for whatsapp in your 3gs and 4s?

I think you cannot use the same number for whatsapp in 2 different devices, when i started using whatsapp in my ipad i tried using my mobile number it got activated but whatsapp in my mobile stopped working, so i think u cannot use the same number

Just stay calm and dont worry, my ipad hanged during the boot logo many times, you just have to boot it in safe mode,

And regarding whatsapp thing, you have successfully installed whatspad, now just install whatsapp by downloading whatsapp ipa file from any site and use ifunbox to install your whatsapp
 
OMG.... i cant believe it i have whatsapp working on my ipad... thanks a lot too all the people who have helped me to install it...

I just have 1 more issue... my whatsapp icon is blank and its small.. i mean its not full screen its for iphone only.. Cant we make it full screen whatsapp??
 
Search for FullForce in cydia and install it. go to settings and enable whatsapp inside the FullFroce Settings. You will have full screen whatsapp. :D

Buddy u r the best.... I m just loving my new iPad... Feeling like this is the best device I have used so far...

I dont feel like using my note 2... :p

I always thought FullForce was for iPhone 5 to make apps full screen (ones with iPhone 4 resolution). But if i can get iPhone apps to load full screen on iPad then i too will install FullForce. This full screen is like REAL fullscreen right ? Not the 2X thing we do in iPad ?
Also if i install FullForce do i still need to install RetinaPad ?

@raksrules it is indeed full screen. but not for all apps but most popular one does work fine.
Retinapad is for those apps or games that’s got Retina graphics. though it has 2x feature but i like FullForce better.

Guys,

I am tired of playing Temple Run and Temple Run 2.. please suggest me some nice games or apps...

I have played a lot of games in the past 15 days on my iPad.. Now i m tired.. :(
 
Then your best bet is to go and explore the app store and see what entices you, check the free section first. May be do some youtube search for best iPad mini games etc etc and before paying for a game, look for the demo on youtube etc (if the game does not offer demo app).

Every week apple makes an app or a game free. Once or twice a week these apps or games are the very popular ones. keep a look out for them. Also surf websites like appchronicles for they let you know which apps are free for the day. A few games which i have got for free over a period of time, just a few of the whole pile are - fruit ninja, plants vs zombies, infinity blade, angry birds, angry birds rio, doodle jump hd, temple run brave, cut the rope experiments...etc.
 
One doubt....I just manage to get sim tray and also net is working fine.But how to check data usage via iPad.?

Unfortuantely you won't be able to send the USSD code using an iPad so your option is to put the MicroSIM in a phone and send the USSD code.
Another option is download some sort of usage tracking app and keep monitoring the usage but i am not sure how accurate it will be compared to what the carrier will count. I mean both of them may not be in sync.

Yes i read out that now.

But still how to check on mobile than.

I was using the sim for some hour or two and usage was 33mg received.But in next hour somehow it touched 105mb received and than offline.

Now while checking i realised by default it was 2p per 10 kb charged.Hence my 91 rupee default surfing got lost.

But still i am not able to figure out how come from 33mb it ran to 105 mb so quick.Anyways on mtnl site there has to be some link or details how to moniter but i am unable to figure it out.
 
You do not have a data plan or you are just testing this without a data plan for now ?
Also is your iPad jailbroken and you using some sort of 3G unrestrictor to enabled update and download of big apps using 3G ?
Problem is that you wont be able to exactly pinpoint what too the bandwidth. :(
