Hi,

I currently own a less than a month old Nokia 5800 XM Phone which is quiet good only for the rubbish camera that has proved a deal breaker for me.:@:@

I would like to change this one but I am really confused because this year I already had to trade my Nokia N78 (due to horrible keypad) and Nokia N79 (which was a faulty unit) so have very less faith in Nokia Devices:@:@. I am confused which smart phone to buy which has at least a good camera (5 mpx or above), decent battery life and good music quality. Kindly provide me with all the options available in market upto 20k

Thanks in advance!!

Friend Samsung is giving good range of mobiles you can try there Samsung-Jet S8000 fully loaded 5mp camera phone touch screen 2gb internal memory expandable to 16gb with 480 x 800 resolution have killer looks.

Samsung Jet is good. but bit laggy sometimes.

Try Samsung Omnia Pro B7610. its a nice phne. you'll love it. there is a thread going on in this same section on it. you'll find many reasons to buy it.

samsung omnia hd i8910 is also a great phone indeed. complete vfm. but may exceed your budget.

dude. why don't you just get good camera instead of changing your phone just for camera. Do remember that when compared to a dedicated camera, all the cams on these phones are crap.

Since it looks like you are ready to spend 15k-20k, check Canon IXUS 100 IS for compact camera and Canon SX200IS for 12x Optical Zoom :)

+1. Phone cams are for ultra casual shots... for good pics buy a digicam.

Hey Guys I had the N79 whose Pic Quality I still cherish it's just that I had to sell it off as it developed some problem which Nokia Care Guys cudn't resolve even after keeping it for 20 days!!:@:@:@ Their lame reply was that it was a firmware issue which would be rectified later but my friend had the same phone and no probs till date!!:S:S So I thought about N82 for the time but it is discontinued so now I am in real trouble!! Thought about other brands but was not able to find anything!! I have been using Nokia for a long time and I am very comfortable with it and Symbian too!! But now since it is quiet clear that the are not providing quality handsets and after sales support like they did earlier its just that I want to move away!! BTW My friend has an HTC Based windows smartphone which I really don't like since it is stylus optimized and after using 5800 I am very much in love with it only thing being the crap camera!! Even my N78 had an awesme 3.2 mpx camera!! N79 was much better but 5800 is miles ahead only for the camera quality.:@:@ So I am basically looking for an allrounder with decent battery life, camera and music quality!!
Have heard about samsung being not good in terms of battery life and windows based so would luv to know about it from users!! In the mean time I searched some and found SE Yaari, Nokia N85 (Heard a lot of Quality Issue), E72 (Heard Again early buyers are unpaid beta testers with Firmware requirement for stability like most models launched here this year:ohyeah::ohyeah:) or N86......please help me with that now!! I have a Sony Cybershot too WSC D-110 which is a 7.2 Mpx camera with awesme qulaity for its price but portability is something I require as I am always on the move!!:D:D Had N79 not gone kaput as it had solved all my purpose (being the best phone I ever had) I wouldn't had require any alternative!! But after just 3 months my luck again eluded me!!:(:( So guys who are using the samsung handsets do reply please as I would be really grateful!!!

Thanks again in advance guys!!

Ok so you looking for a 5800 like phone with better camera, why don't you trade your 5800 with N97 mini? Same OS with better UI and stuff, better camera. But again, its Nokia :P

Don't know too much about stability but AFAIK, it's a lot stable than the big brother N97, and the UI is better as Nokia is gaining experience with touch UI, 5800 was their first touch S60 device, the reason we have the awkward scrolling methods in 5800.

You can check out the review here which might help you make the decision

do have a look at 5530 & 5230 two new Nokia Phones that are launched today..

or wait for some time & get a Nokia X6..

If u still have some trust left in nokia then go to a store near u and grab N86 :) Maybe nokia's best handset after N82 :hap2: If not then great I am happy that N86 will not be more common as N82  But seriously N86 is the best keypad device on the planet right now, period.. Ohh and if ur interested in touch device and want the best camera on mobile then Pixon 12 for 21k is a must buy. Great camera even beats the excellent camera on N86. All the talk of buggy firmware is half truth.. Its doing fine for me on ver 20 and next firmware is due in 2 weeks which will take care of all the small niggles it has. And if u do decide on N86 then check out the white version which simply looks gorgeous..
