Hi everyone,

i am looking for a new projector (business purpose) for my office. Budget is around 60-70k. Main requirements is that it should support multiple types of connections, should support wide screen laptops, good clarity, brightness and contrast.

I have no clue with regards to projectors and saw many but am getting confused. Which is a good - LCD / DLP or LED?

also which one would appropriate short throw or long throw.

Room dimensions may vary as we will also use it during events in exhibition halls. Ambient light may or may not be present, so just assume that it will be though. Screen size considering it will also be used in big exhibition halls i am not very sure how much to calculate. Will a 100inch work?

Mainly be used for PPT.

DLP (Benq,Optoma) is more suited for videos and movies, The color accuracy and contrast is much superior - i'd prefer them over LCD anyday.
LCD (Epson) is better for business scenario and PPT as they're heavy duty also replacement Lamps are cheap.
Buy a regular throw , Short throw especially useful when room specifics are known
110" should be the Ideal screen size
720p ls should be enough for your purpose. at least 1100 Lumens should be the output.

I usually suggest to buy projectors from US as there's a lot of price difference You should consider TH670 or HD141x Optoma (DLP Tech)
Epson TW570 if LCD is required. Some Sony and Viewsonic models have good reviews, I haven't seen them myself.
If you're buying in India buy offline , you'll get better deals. Bargain for screen, stand etc .
Consider Pico Projectors for better portability and lamp life, LG has many models in it, Though PQ isn't great
