GfX : Gigabyte 6600GT 6400

Speakers: AL MX5021 8500

SoundCard: SBLive 24Bit 1500

Kb+Mouse 1500

Total 63,623

Any view/suggestions guys?

Am Confused about, RAM (Which Brand??)

Any Suggestions??

1 gb ram would be good enough for the rig. use the rest of the money for a larger monitor.

Brand : Twinmos :)

2GB won't be of much use with the 6600gt. Get 1gb. Getting a 3000+ would save you some more. With the money you save, go for a xfi sound card.

no need of 2gb ram.
that sp 400 watts wont suit best when u'll upgrade to a high end dx 10 card in december.
Processor: AMD A64 3200+ Venice 7850 [try getting the opty maybe some old stock ones]
Mobo: Asus A8nE 5750
Cabinet: Antec SuperLanBoy 5423
PSU: Antec 400W 3000(??) [neo he 500 watts 6200 from anish his dealer is gettiong em pm him]
Monitor: ViewSonic 17" CRT Flat 7000
RAM : 1 GB*2 (Brand - ??) 9500 [512 * 2 = 4500 twinmos]
HDD :160GB Seagate 4000

total is 61823 [except the opty]
if u can try getting a opteron else everythin is fine.
DVD W: BenQ 1650 3200
GfX : Gigabyte 6600GT 6400
Speakers: AL MX5021 8500
SoundCard: SBLive 24Bit 1500
Kb+Mouse 1500

The monitor seems a bit high, should be more like 6.5k. and nikhil says he got a benq 1650 for 2.8k so even that seems high. btw where are u gettin a 6600 gt for 6400?

EDIT: TE's price guide shows the mx5021 for 7.4k

yeah.... 1650 seems too high

And dont go for 2 GB. Go for 1 GB. BRand --- Twinmos or UCCC chips which I think are branded Transcend.

And go for Saiyan's 3200+ if you want. It is quite a good deal.

Wont there be much difference between a 3000+ and 3200+??

I'll be getting a high-end card in December, thus the 2 GB of RAM.

Are the prices slightly higher? they are taken from the delta peripherals page.

www.deltapage.com

And I'll also get a high-end soundcard in December, therefore am settling for an SBLive Now.

Secondly, I wanted to go for a 5.1 (preferably Z5300), but it seems its too much of a hassle setting up speakers and stuff..I'll be mostly listening to music on them, so am still hanging on whether to go for a good 2.1 or a 5.1. For gaming (Mostly CSS :D) I'll be using headphones, So I wanted to know whether I should buy good headphones too (And I was curious to know if most of the CSSers here use speakers or headphones while playing).

Most of the CS players use headphones as you cant use speakers when you play in a tourney.

SO, I guess they use headphones.

And there will not be much difference between a 3000 and a 3200. I mean, the 3200 is 200mhz faster and has an extra multiplier which may come in handy if you overclock.

And Saiyan's 3200+ is at the same price as a 3000. So, I suggested that.

And I guess the market price of a 1650 will be around 2.8K. Sometimes prices on the websites are much higher than the real prices

If you can afford it, I'd say go dual core if you want to foolproof yourself from major upgrades for another 2 years.

If ur gettin a high end card in december why go for the SB live. the boar has onboard realtek alc850 sound which is good enough. save 1.5k and stick with the onboard sound. plus what do u guys think is it worth goin for zalman 5.1 headphones?

Udit, the Zalmans are pure crap.

Seriously speaking the 5.1 Headphones are useless.

Any decent headphones can do 7.1 just as well as 7.1 Headphones.
