You don't need to go for Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H - 5.9k .

Instead go with MSI 785GM-E51 -4.6k and and spend the saved money on GPU.

Go with DDR3 and AM3 combo

LAPTOP

Acer 5536 - 27k , best bet , has a 780G based chipset so plays 1080p stuff flawlessly

Thank you Sidhu, Karthik & Anubis. One question though. Is it possible for me to accomodate the 4850 instead of the 4670?

Better still, the Biostar 790GX A3+ comes with a decent enough GPU with HDMI out. Is it not comparable to the 4670? I save on about 2K if I go with it. Will the onboard graphics be able to cope with 1080p rips?

Also, if I go the Biostar way, is there any monitor with HDMI input within the budget?

Also, please give more suggestions for the laptop.

EDIT:

Guys, any advice on the Biostar onboard GPU?

Bringing up this thread again.

I have purchased the CM Gladiator 600 and the Corsair VX450 from LBM who had put it up for sale on TE.

Now, I have discounted these 2 items and my budget for the other components still stands at 40k. I can get the UPS locally so even that component is not to be included in the 40k. Now, what should I get.

If I go in for the i5 750, I will need a GPU.

Please suggest a config based on the i5 750 under 40k including a 22 or 24 inch lcd capable of full HD resolutions.

I will need these:

Processor

Motherboard

4GB RAM

GPU

HDD

Monitor

Keyboard/Mouse

A special note to HarryNeoPotter. Please suggest from where I can get these components for the lowest price at Nehru Place. If possible, please pm me your phone number so that I can contact you before I go to make the purchase. SMC's rates are a bit higher that what you quote on the forums.

Where can I get the P55M-UD2 and the 4850 in Delhi? SMC does not have it.

Also, I am getting the i5 750 for 10250/-

HNP, need your help here.

the GA-P55M-UD2 is not available anywhere in delhi.

So sumit needs to replace it with MSI P55-CD53 -- 7.2k

Replace Ram to Gskil 4 GB kit -- 5.4k

will shoot the budget up with 1k though.

@sumit: ygpm.

I would suggest you proceed with the AMD Config suggested above as it is well balenced for your requirement. Yes you have money but choosing i5 will be an over kill.
