New Scam on the Rise - Beware

AIrtel DND stuff is for stuffs...where they officially sell your number to 3rd party...this calls/messages are generated from a random dictionary of number in a series which a scamster gets...nuthin related to airtel...i guess
 
lol i had got some spam msg..claiming that my cell's balance is recharged with Rs. 9k :D
i mean wtf 9k ..haha deleted straight away :P

I think this SPAM Msg thing is confined to Metro's Only.

I am using AirTel from the Past 4 Years and as soon as the DND was launched I registered for it. After that I never got any SPAM Msg. / Calls till now. I have registered my 4 Numbers (Idea, Vodafone & 2 AirTel) with NDNC, and I haven't got a single SPAM Msg / Promo Calls Till Now - Believe Me. Though BSNL is an exception in my case.

Also if the Mobile Number is registered with Banks, Life Insurance Company etc. than these firms can also send you SPAM Messages or sell your Number to Third Party. Try registering for all DND Services of all Banks, Life Insurance Companies etc. with which your Mobile Number is registered.

AFAIK there is some system in which you can lodge your Complaint if still you are getting Promo Calls/ Msgs from Service Provider / Bank / etc. after 45 Days.

If you are unable to resist these kind of messages than you must lodge a complaint As soon as possible :)

why should we register in DNC ? when it should be other way around ?

i dint agree to get spam msg in the first place ?

if any one want they can subscribe... not the other way round.

This idea of DNC itself is soooo lame and idiotic !!

You receive SPAM Calls / Messages because everyone wants to promote their business / schemes and for this they can go to any extent

I suggest you to go for DND Registration with all services / firms with which your Mobile Number is registered or lodge a complaint

Believe me Posting here at forums is not going to STOP these calls / messages :)
 
THe first two characters in the sms alias have been put specifically by TRAI to track such scamsters. Hence the SMS service provider using the code TA can be held responsible for initiating these scams. ONly problem left is to how to do it..NDNC has been a big flop so far...

I have been getting atleast 2 emails like this "that you won this and that" and "someone died so his/her property is all yours"

I instantly delete the email.
