lately have been attracted to linux :hap5:

would mostly need for programming (c/c++)/web designing
movies,music and rest basic stuff

can sm1 suggest me which 1 to go for (was planning ubuntu)
2.are there any gfx driver issues ?? m using gtx275

3.If sm1 can provide the link for dual boot with win7 (appreciated)
anywayz im looking for it on google :)

also what is the difference between KDE and Gnome versions (asking me while downloading)

2.Is Mandriva one 2009spring ? (the 2010 RC1 version) ?

well i downloaded Mandriva RC1 (iso),while installing its giving me some weird error

'"I cannot read partition table of device,its too corrupted for me" :\
2.Asking to lose all partitions
3.error /proc/partition does not agree with darkx2!=4

any idea wth is this ?? its asking me for a complete format or else cant proceed
 
^^Ohh crap :(

Ok do not worry use testdisk to fix it :) Install testdisk and open termianl type su- enter password and follow the steps.

Post if you have problem.
 
Your partition table seems corrupted, fix it first and then try to install. else it would lead to data losss.
