New to photography|Need basic help.

Hey fellas,

I always stay curious to know how you techies shoot such high quality photos even when not using a SLR camera .

I don't hope to go to the professional level as yet as I have only a Canon SX130 IS to support my needs.

Some of the images shot by fellow techies(photography thread) are mind blowing

So what should I do to make the best out of my camera?How big a role does the shutter speed play in the quality of the images?

As u asking about shutter speed, faster the shutter speed sharper the image
"place reserved for rest of the steps" as u ll def not gonna get fine photograps by just pumping up the shutterspeed..if i tell everything at one go u ll get confused...

To get good understanding, would be better to learn from scratch..

learning about exposure would make a solid base. This will teach u about shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
