Have no means to withdraw money now. Ordered a cheque book yesterday, should be getting it within 3 days. Had to pay the meager sum I was left with to the cops for the FIR. Replacement cards cost like 200 + taxes :@

Was your wallet in your back pocket? I always keep my wallet and mobile in the front pockets of my trousers/jeans whenever I travel by any means of public transportation.

Sorry for your loss.

Kudos to your spirit! If I had lost all these cards, I probably would have skipped 2-3 days of work and taken to drinking large quantities of cold drinks and juices (I don't drink alcohol :P)

:(

Next time wear tighter pants.
imo NO PANTS so NO ONE dare to come near you... so no pant.... no pocket... no wallet... NO PROBLLEM...

are you sure no transactions made from your cards before you had lodge FIR

Yes it was rather loose pants and probably I was little too careless.

Fortunately no transaction happened on any of the cards. Blocked them all in time.

I guess the guy was too contented with the money he got :P

^^^

couldn't think of doing anything better :P

BTW these HSBC guys are awesome. I even got the replacement card, without any extra charge.

And these ICICI buggers are charging me 221 per card :( and I've no idea when I'll get them.

At least no fraud was done using the plastic money. Was the wallet in the back pocket or your front pocket (usually where I place it while at railway stations).

aww....that's sad.

You should have been more careful placing your wallet. Anyway, what happened is happened. I hope that you will get all your cards back without much hassles.

Getting back Money - No prob
Getting Private company owned cards - not that much prob
Getting back Govt propery cards - seems to be issue...

Advice; Never carry more than 2 cards at a time (The most used). Leave others at safe place....

Try to use Duplicates of Govt cards... (Meant photocopies of oirginals... He, he...he)

Kudos to the spirit..

Hope you don't start similar threads, ....... Ever...

Sry for the loss....
Cheers to ur spirits.....
Maybe some one will come up with a GPS device for wallets :) Till then the boxer pants with pockets shd be safe custody for wallets in crowdy places

Yeh!kudos to your spirit man! What did you do for the PAN cards?Getting back private bank cards is relatively easy, but those babus in Govt.offices can be PITA.
